CVE-2013-6230

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Windows Server 2008 ISC BIND versions 9.6-ESV before 9.6-ESV-R10-P1 ISC BIND versions 9.8 before 9.8.6-P1 ISC BIND versions 9.9 before 9.9.4-P1 ISC BIND versions 9.9.3-S1 ISC BIND versions 9.9.4-S1
Description The issue is related to the Winsock WSAIoctl API, which does not properly support the SIO GET INTERFACE LIST command for a specific netmask. This allows remote attackers to bypass intended IP address restrictions by misinterpreting the netmask 255.255.255.255 as 0.0.0.0.
