Description
The issue is related to the uio mmap physical function in the Linux kernel, which does not validate the size of a memory block. This allows local users to cause a denial of service, such as memory corruption, or possibly gain privileges via crafted mmap operations.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.12, update to version 3.12 or later to resolve the issue.
