| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Google Chrome versions prior to 35.0.1916.114
Description
The issue is related to an integer overflow in the
AudioInputRendererHost::OnCreateStream function. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have other impacts by triggering a large shared-memory allocation. The vulnerability can be exploited via vectors that cause this large allocation.Recommendations
For versions prior to 35.0.1916.114, update to version 35.0.1916.114 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
AudioInputRendererHost::OnCreateStream function until a patch is applied.Exploit
