CVE-2014-1746

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 35.0.1916.114
Description The issue is related to the InMemoryUrlProtocol::Read function in Google Chrome, which relies on an insufficiently large integer data type. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via vectors that trigger the use of a large buffer.
Recommendations For versions prior to 35.0.1916.114, update to version 35.0.1916.114 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to large buffers to minimize the risk of exploitation.
