CVE-2014-1514

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 28.0 Firefox ESR 24.x versions prior to 24.4 Thunderbird versions prior to 24.4 SeaMonkey versions prior to 2.25
Description The issue is related to errors in the implementation of the TypedArrayObject class, specifically the lack of validation of the destination array length before a copy operation. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service by triggering incorrect use of the TypedArrayObject class, resulting in an out-of-bounds write and application crash.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 28.0, update to version 28.0 or later. For Firefox ESR 24.x versions prior to 24.4, update to version 24.4 or later. For Thunderbird versions prior to 24.4, update to version 24.4 or later. For SeaMonkey versions prior to 2.25, update to version 2.25 or later.
