Description The issue exists due to improper initialization of memory for GIF rendering, allowing remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory via crafted web script that interacts with a CANVAS element associated with a malformed GIF image. This can be exploited by remote attackers to gain access to confidential information from the process memory using a specially formed web script that interacts with a CANVAS element linked to a malformed GIF image.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 32.0, update to version 32.0 or later. For Firefox ESR versions prior to 31.1, update to version 31.1 or later. For Thunderbird versions prior to 31.1, update to version 31.1 or later.
