Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL. This could enable an attacker to spoof content, disclose information, or take any action that the user could take on the site on behalf of the targeted user.
Recommendations
For Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Microsoft SQL Server 2014, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MDS service to minimize the risk of exploitation.
