Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a buffer over-read and application crash, via a crafted GIF image that is improperly handled by the gdImageCreateFromGif function. This is due to a problem in the GetCode function in the gd gif in.c file of the GD component.

Recommendations For GD versions 2.1.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.1.1. For PHP versions prior to 5.5.21, update to version 5.5.21 or later. For PHP versions 5.6.x prior to 5.6.5, update to version 5.6.5 or later.
