CVE-2010-5303

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TimThumb versions prior to 1.15 (r85)
Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists due to a vulnerability in the displayError function in timthumb.php. This allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors related to the errorString variable.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.15 (r85), update to version 1.15 (r85) or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the displayError function in timthumb.php until a patch is available. Restrict access to the timthumb.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the errorString variable in the displayError function until the issue is resolved.
