Description The issue allows local users to obtain sensitive information by inspecting the content of vmcore files, which are created with world-readable permissions by the Red Hat mkdumprd script. This could potentially be used to find sensitive data, such as a root SSH key.
Recommendations For kexec-tools versions 1.x before 1.102pre-154, update to version 1.102pre-154 or later to resolve the issue. For kexec-tools versions 2.x before 2.0.0-209, update to version 2.0.0-209 or later to resolve the issue.
