Description The issue concerns the improper validation of UTF-8 data in the Yahoo! protocol plugin in libpurple, which can be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in the application crashing through crafted byte sequences.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.10.8, update to version 2.10.8 or later to resolve the issue.
