CVE-2013-0201

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ownCloud versions 4.5.5 and earlier ownCloud version 4.0.10 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via the QUERY STRING to "core/lostpassword/templates/resetpassword.php", the mime parameter to "apps/files/ajax/mimeicon.php", or the token parameter to "apps/gallery/sharing.php".
Recommendations For ownCloud versions 4.5.5 and earlier, update to a version later than 4.5.5 to resolve the issue. For ownCloud version 4.0.10 and earlier, update to a version later than 4.0.10 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "core/lostpassword/templates/resetpassword.php", "apps/files/ajax/mimeicon.php", and "apps/gallery/sharing.php" endpoints until a patch is available. Avoid using the mime and token parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
