CVE-2013-5567

CVSS v2.0

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software versions 8.4(.6) and earlier
Description A issue in the inspection and filter features of the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the affected system to reload. This can be triggered by a packet that causes multiple matches, resulting in a denial of service (traffic loop and device crash).
Recommendations For versions 8.4(.6) and earlier, consider reconfiguring the filtering and inspection criteria to avoid overlapping conditions until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the device to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
