CVE-2013-5640

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Gnew version 2013.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the answer id or question id parameter to "polls/vote.php", the story id parameter to "comments/add.php" or "comments/edit.php", or the thread id parameter to "posts/add.php".
Recommendations For Gnew version 2013.1, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable API endpoints, such as "polls/vote.php", "comments/add.php", "comments/edit.php", and "posts/add.php", until a patch is available. Avoid using the parameters answer id, question id, story id, and thread id in the affected endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
