CVE-2013-6992

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions AskApache Firefox Adsense plugin versions 3.0 and earlier
Description A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) issue allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This is achieved via the aafireadcode parameter to the "wp-admin/options-general.php" endpoint.
Recommendations For AskApache Firefox Adsense plugin versions 3.0 and earlier, update to a version later than 3.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "wp-admin/options-general.php" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the aafireadcode parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved.
