3.5
Low
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ProjectForge versions prior to 5.3
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists due to an improper implementation in the JsonBuilder. This allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via an autocompletion string. The issue is related to the files web/core/JsonBuilder.java and web/wicket/autocompletion/PFAutoCompleteBehavior.java.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 5.3, update to version 5.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to autocompletion features until the update is applied.
