CVE-2013-7294
CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
libreswan versions prior to 3.7
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a restart, by sending an IKEv2 I1 notification without a KE payload. This is due to a problem in the ikev2parent inI1outR1 function in pluto/ikev2 parent.c.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 3.7, update to version 3.7 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ikev2parent inI1outR1 function until a patch is available.
