High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Advantech WebAccess versions prior to 7.2
Description The issue is a stack-based buffer overflow that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long NodeName2 argument. This can be exploited in the webvact.ocx component of Advantech WebAccess.
Recommendations For versions prior to 7.2, update to version 7.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the webvact.ocx component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
