CVE-2014-0870

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions IBM Algo Credit Limits versions 4.5.0 through 4.7.0 before 4.7.0.03 FP5
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via several parameters, including Message to "/rcore6/main/showerror.jsp", ButtonsetClass to "/rcore6/main/buttonset.jsp", MBName to "/rcore6/frameset.jsp", Init to "/algopds/rcore6/main/browse.jsp", and Name, StoreName, or STYLESHEET to "/algopds/rcore6/main/ibrowseheader.jsp".
Recommendations For versions 4.5.0 through 4.7.0 before 4.7.0.03 FP5, update to version 4.7.0.03 FP5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable API endpoints, such as "/rcore6/main/showerror.jsp", "/rcore6/main/buttonset.jsp", "/rcore6/frameset.jsp", "/algopds/rcore6/main/browse.jsp", and "/algopds/rcore6/main/ibrowseheader.jsp", until a patch is applied. Avoid using the vulnerable parameters Message, ButtonsetClass, MBName, Init, Name, StoreName, and STYLESHEET in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
