Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Query Description Field. This could potentially lead to unauthorized actions on the affected system.
Recommendations For IBM Maximo Asset Management versions 6.2 through 6.2.8, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For IBM Maximo Asset Management versions 6.x and 7.x through 7.5.0.6, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For IBM Maximo Asset Management versions 7.5 through 7.5.0.3, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For IBM Maximo Asset Management versions 7.5.1 through 7.5.1.2, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For IBM Maximo Asset Management for Tivoli IT Asset Management for IT and Maximo Service Desk versions 6.2 through 6.2.8, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Query Description Field until a patch is available.
