CVE-2014-1582
CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 33.0
Description
The issue arises from the Public Key Pinning (PKP) implementation, which fails to account for the connection-coalescing behavior of SPDY and HTTP/2 when dealing with shared IP addresses. This allows man-in-the-middle attackers to bypass the intended pinning configuration and spoof a website by providing a valid certificate from any recognized Certification Authority.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 33.0, update to version 33.0 or later to resolve the issue.
