Description
The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the WebSocketDispatcherHost::SendOrDrop function in the Web Sockets implementation. This vulnerability might allow remote attackers to bypass the sandbox protection mechanism by leveraging an incorrect deletion in a certain failure case. The
WebSocketDispatcherHost::SendOrDrop function is specifically affected.Recommendations
For versions prior to 33.0.1750.149, update to version 33.0.1750.149 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of Web Sockets until the update is applied.
