| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
CMSimple Classic versions 3.54 and earlier
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
d parameter. This could potentially lead to unauthorized actions on the affected system.Recommendations
For CMSimple Classic versions 3.54 and earlier, update to a version released after February 26, 2014, to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the whizzywig/wb.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
d parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
