CVSS v2.0
5.1
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SeedDMS versions prior to 4.3.4
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading a file with an executable extension. This is achieved by specifying the partitionIndex parameter and accessing the file via the directory specified by the
fileId parameter.Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.3.4, update to version 4.3.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
op/op.AddFile2.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the partitionIndex and fileId parameters in the affected file upload functionality until the issue is resolved.Fix
