CVE-2014-2568

CVSS v2.0

2.9

Low

VectorAV:A/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 3.13.6
Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel, specifically in the nfqnl zcopy function, which allows attackers to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory. This is possible due to the absence of a certain orphaning operation. The affected code was later moved to the skb zerocopy function.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.13.6, update to version 3.13.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the nfqnl zcopy function until a patch is available.
