CVSS v2.0
6.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
MobFox mAdserve versions 2.0 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via the
id parameter to specific API endpoints, including "edit ad unit.php", "view adunits.php", or "edit campaign.php" in the "www/cp/" directory.Recommendations
For MobFox mAdserve versions 2.0 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
id parameter in the affected API endpoints until a patch is available. Avoid using the id parameter in the "edit ad unit.php", "view adunits.php", and "edit campaign.php" endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
