CVE-2014-2890

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions phpMyID version 0.9
Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists due to improper handling of the openid error parameter in error messages when openid.mode is set to error. This allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML.
Recommendations For phpMyID version 0.9, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MyID.config.php file or disabling the wrap html function in MyID.php until a patch is available. Avoid using the openid error parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
