CVE-2014-3198

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 38.0.2125.101 Opera versions prior to 25.0.1614.50
Description The issue arises from the interpretation of a certain -1 value as an index instead of a no-visible-page error code in the Instance::HandleInputEvent function within the PDFium component. This misinterpretation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service through an out-of-bounds read via unspecified vectors.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 38.0.2125.101, update to version 38.0.2125.101 or later to resolve the issue. For Opera versions prior to 25.0.1614.50, update to version 25.0.1614.50 or later to resolve the issue.
