Description The Cisco IOS Software implementation of the multicast Domain Name System (mDNS) feature contains vulnerabilities when processing mDNS packets, allowing an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. This can be achieved via malformed mDNS packets.

Recommendations For Cisco IOS versions 15.0 through 15.4, update to a version that addresses the vulnerabilities. For Cisco IOS XE versions 3.3.xSE through 3.3.1SE, update to version 3.3.2SE or later. For Cisco IOS XE versions 3.3.xXO through 3.3.0XO, update to version 3.3.1XO or later.
