CVSS v2.0
5.8
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Dotclear versions prior to 2.6.3
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password in an XML-RPC request. This is due to a flaw in the dcXmlRpc::setUser method in nc/core/class.dc.xmlrpc.php.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.6.3, update to version 2.6.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the XML-RPC endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.
