CVE-2014-4587

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP GuestMap plugin version 1.8 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via vulnerable parameters in several PHP files. Specifically, the parameters zl, mt, and dc in "guest-locator.php", "online-tracker.php", "stats-map.php", and the parameters zl, mt, activate, and dc in "online-tracker.php" and "weather-map.php" are affected. This can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
Recommendations For WP GuestMap plugin version 1.8 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the parameters zl, mt, dc, and activate in the affected PHP files until a patch is available. Avoid using these parameters in the "guest-locator.php", "online-tracker.php", "stats-map.php", and "weather-map.php" files until the issue is resolved.
