CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
osTicket versions prior to 1.9.2
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via several fields, including the
Phone Number field in open.php, the Phone number field, passwd1 field, passwd2 field, or the do parameter in account.php.Recommendations
For osTicket versions prior to 1.9.2, update to version 1.9.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting user input in the mentioned fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
do parameter in the account.php endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
