| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
phpMyAdmin versions 4.2.x through 4.2.5
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists due to improper handling of crafted table comments during the construction of a database structure page. This allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. The issue is related to the PMA getHtmlForActionLinks function in libraries/structure.lib.php.
Recommendations
For phpMyAdmin versions 4.2.x through 4.2.5, update to version 4.2.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the database structure page to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
