CVSS v2.0
6.8
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Shopizer versions 1.1.5 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to hijack user authentication for various requests, including modifying customer settings, changing customer passwords, altering shop configuration, and modifying product details. This can be achieved through crafted requests to specific API endpoints, such as "central/catalog/saveproduct.action" to modify a product's price or "shop/product/createReview.action" to create a product review.
Recommendations
For Shopizer versions 1.1.5 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "central/catalog/saveproduct.action" and "shop/product/createReview.action" API endpoints until a patch is available. Additionally, restrict the use of functions that modify customer settings, customer passwords, shop configuration, or product details to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
