CVE-2014-5183

CVSS v2.0

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Simple Retail Menus plugin versions prior to 4.1
Description The issue allows remote authenticated editors to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is achieved by exploiting the targetmenu parameter in an edit action to the "wp-admin/admin.php" endpoint.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.1, update to version 4.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the includes/mode-edit.php file or limiting the ability to perform edit actions on wp-admin/admin.php to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the targetmenu parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved.
