Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
BlackCat CMS versions 1.0.3 and earlier
Description
A cross-site scripting issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This is achieved via the
msg parameter in the cattranslate.php file of the CatTranslate JQuery plugin.Recommendations
For BlackCat CMS versions 1.0.3 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the cattranslate.php file until a patch is available. Avoid using the
msg parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
