Description
A remote code execution issue exists in the way the VBScript engine handles objects in memory when rendered in Internet Explorer. This issue may corrupt memory, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user has administrative rights, an attacker could take complete control of the affected system, enabling them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations
For Microsoft VBScript versions 5.6 through 5.8, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
