CVE-2014-6410

CVSS v2.0

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions through 3.16.3
Description The issue is related to the udf read inode function in fs/udf/inode.c, which does not properly restrict the amount of ICB indirection. This allows an attacker with physical access to cause a denial of service, potentially resulting in an infinite loop or stack consumption, by using a UDF filesystem with a crafted inode.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions through 3.16.3, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue.
