Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an infinite loop and consumption of CPU and disk resources, via a crafted JavaScript file.
Recommendations For Exuberant Ctags version 5.8, consider avoiding the use of jscript.c until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of crafted JavaScript files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
