CVE-2014-7660

CVSS v2.0

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:A/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Gent Magazine (aka com.magzter.thegentmagazine) application version 3.0 for Android
Description The application does not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers. This allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
Recommendations For The Gent Magazine (aka com.magzter.thegentmagazine) application version 3.0 for Android, consider updating the application to a version that properly verifies X.509 certificates from SSL servers, if available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the use of the application on untrusted networks to minimize the risk of exploitation.
