Description The issue is related to multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the HWOPOSScale.ocx and HWOPOSSCANNER.ocx components of the Honeywell OPOS Suite. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted file that is improperly handled by the Open method.

Recommendations For versions prior to 1.13.4.15, update to version 1.13.4.15 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Open method in the affected components until a patch is applied.
