CVE-2014-9394

CVSS v2.0

6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WordPress PWGRandom plugin version 1.11 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This is achieved via the pwgrandom title or pwgrandom category parameter in the pwgrandom page to wp-admin/options-general.php.
Recommendations For WordPress PWGRandom plugin version 1.11 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.11 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the pwgrandom page to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the pwgrandom title or pwgrandom category parameter in the affected page until the issue is resolved.
