CVE-2015-0635
CVSS v2.0
9.0
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco IOS versions 12.2, 12.4, 15.0, 15.2, 15.3, and 15.4
Cisco IOS XE versions 3.10.xS through 3.13.xS before 3.13.1S
Description
The Autonomic Networking Infrastructure (ANI) implementation allows remote attackers to spoof Autonomic Networking Registration Authority (ANRA) responses, bypass intended device and node access restrictions, or cause a denial of service (disrupted domain access) via crafted AN messages. This could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or gain limited command and control of the device.
Recommendations
For Cisco IOS versions 12.2, 12.4, 15.0, 15.2, 15.3, and 15.4, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Cisco IOS XE versions 3.10.xS through 3.13.xS, update to version 3.13.1S or later to address the vulnerability.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Autonomic Networking Infrastructure (ANI) feature until a patch is available.
