Description
The issue is related to errors that occur when running a specially crafted application on a virtual machine, which can lead to a denial of service, causing the loss of Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) functionality. This can be exploited by a guest OS user.
Recommendations
For Hyper-V in Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, consider restricting access to the virtual machine until a patch is available to prevent potential denial of service attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
