Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 through 11
Description
The issue is related to memory corruption due to improper access to objects in memory. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service. The vulnerability can be exploited via a crafted web site, and if successful, an attacker could take complete control of an affected system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights, especially if the current user has administrative privileges.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 through 11, update to a newer version to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable web sites until a patch is available.
Avoid using Internet Explorer to access untrusted web sites until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
