CVSS v2.0

3.5

Low

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.5.42 and earlier Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.6.23 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to affect availability via vectors related to DDL. This means that an authenticated attacker can potentially impact the availability of data by exploiting a vulnerability in the DDL (Data Definition Language) component of the MySQL database management system.
Recommendations For Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.5.42 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.42 to resolve the issue. For Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.6.23 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.23 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the DDL component until a patch is available.
