CVE-2015-1253

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 43.0.2357.65
Description The issue is related to errors in the HTMLConstructionSite.cpp file in the DOM implementation in Blink, used in Google Chrome. It allows remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy via crafted JavaScript code that appends a child to a SCRIPT element, related to the insert and executeReparentTask functions.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 43.0.2357.65, update to version 43.0.2357.65 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the execution of JavaScript code that appends children to SCRIPT elements until a patch is available.
