CVE-2015-2806

CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions libtasn1 versions prior to 4.4
Description The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the asn1 der decoding function, which can be exploited by remote attackers through unknown vectors, potentially leading to disruption of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. This can be achieved by sending specially crafted ASN.1 data.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.4, update to version 4.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the asn1 der decoding function until a patch is available.
