CVE-2015-1272

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 44.0.2403.89
Description A use-after-free issue in the GPU process implementation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have other impacts by leveraging the continued availability of a GPUChannelHost data structure during Blink shutdown. This issue is related to content/browser/gpu/browser gpu channel host factory.cc and content/renderer/render thread impl.cc.
Recommendations For versions prior to 44.0.2403.89, update to version 44.0.2403.89 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the GPU process implementation until a patch is available. Avoid using the GPUChannelHost data structure in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
