CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7 through 11

An elevation of privilege issue exists when Internet Explorer does not properly validate permissions under specific conditions, potentially allowing script to be run with elevated privileges. This issue by itself does not allow arbitrary code to be run, but it could be used in conjunction with another issue, such as a remote code execution issue, to take advantage of elevated privileges when running arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7 through 11, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
